This big guy sits right off Hwy 550 between Purgatory and Durango. Its colors are almost a shocking contrast to the environment its in. Its not hard to find great shots right off the road when your cruising the 550! This area of SW Colorado has a pretty large amount of Hot Springs, with the Pagosa Springs Hot Springs Resort being the crown jewel. There is nothing quite like having you legs drained to the last drop of energy on a deep powder day, and having them restored in a Hot Spring.
